He is disconnected from all the machinery and is breathing regular room air on his own and doing nicely. He is in Karen's room with her and has been nursing well, sleeping well, all the things babies are supposed to do. We are very excited about his tremendous progress of the past two days. Hopefully, he will continue to do well and can come home soon. Karen is fine too, especially now that she has the baby with her and not down the hall somewhere.

I just heard about this incredibly stressful time you've had (Barbara told me). Anyway, I love Tristan's name (I like German names, guess why??), and although you've had a fe days of worry, he sounds so much better and I hope to next here from you at home. I saw his photo from the other posts - he is gorgeous! I'm so happy for all of you and I'm sending big congratulations :)
Congratulations!!!! I'll wait impatiently for pictures of Tristan from Katie. :)
